Re: Seperation Forms

There is no such thing as "separation forms". However, you would be smart to try and negotiate a comprehensive separation agreement with your husband either before or after you part company. Such an agreement would set out who has custody, the visitation rights of the noncustodial parent, child support payments, division of marital property and responsibility for joint debts, among other things. If you are able to arrive at such an agreement, it will go a long way toward making any later divorce proceedings go smoothly, quickly and inexpensively. That is why it would make sense for you to consult with an experienced family law attorney who can help you prepare such an agreement and try to negotiate its terms with your husband.
