Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

Broken promise to pay credit card bill

My boyfriend asked if he could charge a television to my department store credit card, and promised to pay it off in a few months. We have broken up and there is a balance of $800.00 remaining. There was never a written agreement, just a verbal one. How would I go about filing a small claim without a written promise to pay.

Re: Broken promise to pay credit card bill

A written agreement is not required. You have to convince the Court the boyfriend promised to repay the charge.
