Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

Is there a mandatory waiting period in Maryland civil code that pertains to A defendants response to a civil complaint and the plaintiff sending interrogatories? In California it is a mandatory 10 day waiting period before the plaintiff can request interrogatories (CCP 2030.010)
