small claims court

An ex-boyfriend gave me an Ipod for my b-day/Valentine's Day. Now he wants it back and said he will take me to court for it. Can you take someone to court to get back something that was a gift?

Anyone can file a lawsuit. Whether he will be successful is another issue.

An unconditional gift cannot be taken back. If he takes you to court, it will be a matter of credibility and evidence (cards, statements, timing, witnesses, etc.)
