Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Maryland

co-sign issues

I co-signed for a friend and his roomate. After a year, my friend moved out. I tried to remove my name of the lease without success because the roomate will not go and sign for a new lease. Now I am being pursued to pay for unpaid bills. Can I pursue legal action to reclaim if any what I may have paid to save my credit?

Re: co-sign issues

Unfortunately, the landlord can come after you for unpaid bills. You can, however, sue your roommate for his share of the bills.
