Legal Question
My mother-in-law was driving on the way to deliver papers at 3:30AM. A tree had fallen across the road and she slammed into it head on. She is having surgery today to repair a broken femur on her right leg. The car is totalled and she will be unable to work for a while if at all. The question is, does the owner of the tree have any legal responsibility for the damages or for pain and suffering?
