Legal Question in Product Liability in Maryland

I've been unsuccessful in finding a lawyer for a specific defective product. What are the steps in filing a lawsuit against a drug company?

If you've been unsuccessful in finding a lawyer to represent you in a products liability case, it likely means you have no case or your are unwilling to pay your lawyer for his/her services. Lawyers are hurting in this economy, just like everyone else, so if there's ANY chance that you might have a successful case, the odds are you will find a lawyer to represent you. With that said, if you decide you want to pursue your case alone, called "pro se" (which I do not recommend under any circumstance), you will need to file a "Complaint" with the court and serve the drug company's registered agent with the Complaint and a Summons. Where you live, where the company is located, where the product was sold/used/where the injury occurred, and how much your damages are all play a factor in which court you file your lawsuit. Also, if you are filing against a large company, be prepared for a flurry of activity from that company's lawyers. In other words, you face an incredibly difficult uphill battle if you go this alone. My suggestion would be to keep looking for a lawyer to help you -- there will be one hungry enough to help you if you are persistent.

Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes and does not create an attorney-client privilege.******
