No license is required to sell one's own property in Maryland. However, access to multiple list services may be restricted to licensed real estate agents so a For Sale By Owner property may have less exposure. Note that you'll still need to comply with the various disclosure and other laws regardless of whether you have a real estate license so it may be a good idea to seek legal advice before entering into a contract.
