Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

The place I was living was recently locked by the mortgage bank with my property still inside this happened completely out the blue cuz I wasn't in the loop went to work Monday morning came home to a locked house Monday nite so my question is how do I go about getting my stuff legally an if I can hold someone legally responsible for my things if stolen, damaged

I assume you are renting the property in question. The property was sealed because a foreclosure of the mortgage is scheduled. You need to contact the firm conducting the foreclosure and be in a position to demonstrate to them that the personal items are yours and that you are a renter. Once done they ought to be willing to give you the opportunity to remove your property prior to the foreclosure sale.
