Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

The previous owner of the house I purchased is during me for 700.00 because he says the HUD1 was incorrect. He signed the document stating that it was correct though. He recently sued the title company and lost and now he is during me. Should I have anything to worry about.

Your post does not give enough information to answer. What was the $700 for? Was it something you had a clear obligation to pay? If so, then yes, you may be responsible. Some claims cannot be made after a deed changes hands, others can.

Anytime you face threatened litigation you may want to consult with an attorney (or if the amount is relatively modest and there is reason to think you'll have to pay anyway you may simply elect to resolve the issue directly). This answer relays general information and does not attempt to offer any specific legal advice on your particular situation.
