Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland

I parked in an apartment complex a few feet outside of a yellow curb, and my vehicle was towed. The towing company provided a photograph which showed my 1/2 of my car inside of the yellow curb area and charged me $280.00 to recover my vehicle. I contacted the police immediately, because the parking space was an adequate length for my vehicle and had a car parked directly behind mine. There weren't any posted signs regarding the portion of yellow curb, which was broken off in several areas. Were my rights violated?

If you were on private property, then this is a civil matter instead of a traffic matter. You do not mention a traffic citation. You could file a small claims suit in the District Court of Maryland against whomever towed your vehicle and try to recover your costs. You can find more information about Small Claims Court on the District Court of Maryland's website.

If you were cited and believe that you did not violate the law, then request a trial.
