Re: Property given to son & daughter before death

Let me get this clear, the property was given by a deed, or by a change in the deed where you and your sister were given title when your father dies. Is that correct?

If that is not accurate, then does the will give you and your sister a share of the house, and leaves the remaining sister with 1k$?

In either case, if by a change in the title, which I assume was filed with the registry of deeds, or by a designation in the will, your sister may be out of luck. She can still contest either one by showing that the changes were done under circumstances that should void the transfer. It would be hard to prove, if your father was of sound mind at the time of either the will or the deed change. If you have more specific information or have questions, contact me at my office.
