Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maryland

My son's grandfather (my wife's father) left him a small amount of money to be placed in a trust, with my son's Mom as the trustee, until he is 25. Is there a simple trust agreement that we can use? The bank where we wanted to open an account (in Maryland) requires a trust agreement.

You can find trust agreements online either for free or a small fee. However, these trust agreements are not necessarily going to follow Maryland State law (meaning they won't be honored by a Maryland court) and they may distribute property in a way that you do not intend. It is for these reasons and many more that that I STRONGLY recommend that you hire a Maryland probate lawyer to draft/prepare the trust agreement for you, discuss it's contents and how to properly execute the trust. It will cost a bit more than going online, but at least you know it will be done correctly the first time.
