It really depends on a number of factors- your criminal record or lack thereof, where this took place, the judge assigned to the court on the date your case is heard, and the circumstances of your arrest or stop, among many others. I agree with the previous answer. Class A is a serious charge, even if only residue, and should be treated as such. You may have legal defenses that could result in dismissal prior to trial, but that cannot be assessed unless more info is provided and evaluated.
