Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts

Car title problem

I purchased a car from a used car shop. Did not get a title that day saying I needed to come in the next day and sign. Paid for car in full, came in next day, dealer did not have the title saying he needed to get it from the RI RMV. Since then, every time I call him, he says I'll have it ''tomorrow.'' What are my options?

Re: Car title problem

You should probably retain an attorney to help you make a final demand for good title.

If title is not produced within the stated time, you should send a Chapter 93A demand letter and be prepared to file suit if a reasonable offer of settlement is not made.

Re: Car title problem

Retain an attorney to make a demand for good title to be followed by a Consumer Protection demand letter and suit as necessary. Good Luck!
