Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

In 2008, I was called to court regarding a credit card debt. The plaintiff failed to appear and the case was dismissed. The judge told me that it could be reopened (can't recall if this was with or without prejudice). In the summer of 2010, I had to appear again. The plaintiff, to the judge's disgust, failed to appear again. A judment of dismissal was again ordered. Today, I received a Judgement for Plaintiff in the mail. Shouldn't I have had another day in court before a Judgement was issued? What can I do?

Call the clerk to see if they have proof of service on you/notice to you on the hearing.

Motion to Vacate on the grounds that you did not have notice of the hearing.

Have evidence of the previous court cases.

Check to see if it is the same docket number. File a motion to vacate.
