Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

My child damaged someones property while at his fathers house. (we have shared custody) His father was present, I was not. Who is responsible for the cost of damages?

As far as the victim is concerned, if your child is a minor, then his/her parents are both responsible. Between you and the child's father, if you believe he should indemnify you from any liability, and assume all responsibility himself because he failed to exercise proper supervision, that would be a separate matter that could potentially be addressed in a separate court proceeding.
