Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

when does civil charge turn criminal?

hello...i have a case tommorow that my son got a title for a car in my name. He then proceeded to attach my plates from my car and drive it. He has already been charged and paid fines but i am being charged. I cannot get transportation to court and in lieu of 200 dollar fine i cannot pay. There is also a problem with title since i never owned the vehicle. I do not want a criminal warrant. If I cannot appear tommorow is a criminal warrant automatically issued? I have only one speeding ticket my whole life and I am 44! I am so upset about this and judge told me I could only have the one month to pay it and was not entitled to an attorney because it was not a criminal charge. If I call court or D.A. and tell them I have no transportation would that avoid a warrant. Please answer I am very upset about this mess. thanks

Find a way to get to court otherwise your situation will only become worse.
