Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

Entry Without Warrant Requirements

Someone I knows aunt who is living at her summer house

authorized him to use her house for a party. There may be

underage drinking there as well as marijuana. In the rare

case that the police show up at this party will my friend

have the authority to deny the police entry without a

warrant or will he need some evidence that he has

authorization to use the house.

Thanks

: Allowing the use of marijuana and alcohol?

If there is ever a question begging the consequences, this may be it.

While the police need a warrant in many circumstances, this may not be one of them. You should tell the person who is authorizing the party that there are potential criminal consequences and civil consequences. Your focus is totally misplaced.
