Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

How do I get a perjury case started?

I've read quite a bit on perjury and I've come to understand the following:

1. Perjury in civil cases are not regularly prosecuted and

2. In a perjury case, the state is the victim and not the person affected him/herself

My wife filed a 209A restraining order with facts that are false and can be PROVEN to be false. And of course, the statement is made ''under penalties of perjury.''

I'm really not interested in money:- I've been wronged. Not only by my wife, but by the state which actually granted the ex parte order with no verification or just fact finding of the claims.

My question simply is: how do I get the county district attorney or state AG to bring charges? I strongly believe that our legal system is based on people telling the truth when they take the oath.

How can I get this going? Does anyone have any contacts at the Middlesex DA's office who would actually listen to a trivial case, but yet forms the very fabric of our judicial system?

Looking for someone who has built a perjury case, or has the contacts to bring such an action.

Note that I am not trying to be vindictive. I am fine with her not paying a cent or spending a minute in jail. Just want justice done.

As a private citizen, you can swear out a complaint at the district court to bring a criminal charge, or you can file suit in the courts for malicious prosecution.

You can also speak to someone in the district attorney's office in charge. My experience is that for the most part - the DA is not going to do it, and it is not within the jurisdiction of the AG.
