Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

witness intimidation

My friend was arrested at the drive tru at mcDonalds for dui.

I went to that mcdonalds a week later and asked for the manager that called the cops on him. The day manager stated that he was not there.

I stated exactly'' Tell him I am going to follow him home one night''

That was it.

I rec'd a call from the piolice wanting me to come to thier station. I did. They asked me to make a statement, I said no.

They arrested me on the spot for witness intimidation.

I merely meant that I would follow him home one night and if I saw him drinking that i would call the cops on him.

Do I have a case, or is pleading guilty a better option.

Thank you

Re: witness intimidation

You never want to automatically just plead guilty. There are many other options. Hire an attorney who can get you the best result. Please contact me further if you have any other questions. Martha Kovner

Re: witness intimidation

Retain an attorney immediately to explain your options to pleading guilty which you do not want to do especially to such a serious offense as intimidation of a witness, Good Luck!
