Is there any action that can be legally taken against someone for defamation or slander? Someone that continues to speaks lies against ones character?

You have the option of filing a complaint in the Superior Court seeking injunctive relief (an order that the person cease engaging in defamatory speech) and money damages for financial harm and harm to your reputation.
