Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

My 21 year old daughter lost custody of her 2 year old daughter to DCF for the 2nd time. My husband and I are very close to our granddaughter as they have lived with us for most of the 2 years. I do not want anything more to do with my daughter as she has proven herself a neglectful Mother who is not trying to help herself. DCF is dragging their heels and not returning my calls. My goal is to get my grandbaby out of foster care and with us. How do I go about getting legal guardianship of her and what are my chances of succeeding??

You need to hire an attorney and seek custody for the child. You file a petition as the child's grandparents.
