Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

If after 27 years of marriage in Massachusetts , a husband quits his job and moves to the state of Florida leaving his wife that has a severe illness knowing she would lose health insurance..forcing her to work a full-time job just to have insurance. And leaves her with all debts owed. after 10 years of basically abandoning her, he now has filed or divorce. can she fight him on where it is to be held? because they are saying she has to go to Florida to resolve this. she is legally disabled and has a letter from her doctor stating she cannot travel. And everything he now owns is still half hers, correct? because they are still legally married. it will be 37 years this July.

The divorce is usually where the parties last lived together as husband and wife. You should seek a consultation on this jurisdiction issue because if you handle it incorrectly, you could accept Florida jurisdiction, which will put you in a difficult situation. This is not something you should handle yourself.
