Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Contempt

My exwife and her attorney husband have filed contempt charges against me for half the inpaid medical and sports fees. The original agreement states she is required to receive my consent on any activity fee of more than $100.00 and supply me with the receipt. I have 30 days from that point to pay the monies owed. She has held receipts for months and now states I owse her $4300.00. The other problem I have is the fact that I had to give up a weeks work that cost me afew thousand dollars to got to court for this frivilous complaint. Now her new husband who is behind this nonsense has a lawyer form his firm trying to change the court date without my consent. They know I can not put another week off so I assume they are hoping Ii default. What do you think?

Re: Contempt

I am not sure why you believe you have to take off a week. Usually, the hearing is a few hours.

Can you explain?
