Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Hi, my I have filed for a motion to get counsel fees under Supplemental Probate and Family Court Rule 406: Allowance for Fees, Costs, and Expenses. What are the exceptions to the rule as I dont't have lawyer's certificate

To the best of my knowledge, if you are not an attorney you cannot get counsel fees if you are not an attorney or otherwise permitted to practice law in this state. If you acted as legal counsel and are not admitted to practice law and were not working for an attorney as a paralegal or clerk, then you cannot petition for fees and may be accused of practicing law without a license. If you did this work thru a clinic, then ask the attorneys who oversee the clinic.

If you represented yourself and used a form filing company to assist you, I do not think you can recover those costs.
