Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

This is part 2 of a question I asked about a husband that has a ten year sentence that have served five years already. Does the judge take in effect that I have been running the household by myself for those five years he was incarcerated or is it strictly the length of time that we have been married that he looks at? I understand that each case is different and the judge will balance out what is fair, but I just wonder if the five years I have been by myself will be considered in the division of assets. Thank you for your consideration in this matter

Yes, the judge does take into account that you have been running the household. Non-economic contributions such as tending to the needs of the family and upkeep of the home are considered by the judge for purposes of property division.
