Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

I was let go from my company just shy of 3 weeks until my 1 year anniversary, I am being asked to sign a general release form giving the company freedom from ever being sued, the problem is they had no reason to let me go, this was clearly a case of my bosses anger and fits of rage , he is known throughout the company for daily misuse and disrespectful treatment of all employees, further I had asked our HR person to setup a meeting with my boss and the company president so we could talk about how to make the department better, and by the time we all met that same day they had all my paperwork set to go along with my checks made out, I have gotten good reviews and just the week before was told by my boss what a great week we had and to knock off early. Not sure what to do but i have a 10 day deadline to sign this paper

You should sit down with a lawyer to review the agreement, review your course of employment, and try to ascertain whether the release is satisfactory to you and whether you have any claims which are worth pursuing. I would be happy to recommend an attorney who could assist you in your separation. Don't hesitate to reach out to me for a referral at [email protected]
