Legal Question in Personal Injury in Massachusetts

If my car was towed to a tow yard due to an accident--and the car is totalled--can I just leave the car there for their disposal without paying them anything? Will I be subject to a fine for abandonment?

You will have to deal with the car, or they may begin to charge you a storage fee. Depending upon who was at fault, you may be able to receive property damages based on the fair market value of the car before the accident. If you were injured in the accident, you may have a claim for personal injuries. You should speak with a lawyer as soon as possible.
