In Massachusetts, you must file your claim within three years. As attorney Earley suggested, these things are entirely fact specific, and there are exceptions. If you are incredibly close to your deadline, you should speak with a lawyer immediately. Barring that, you may want to file suit to preserve your claims.

I would strongly recommend to you that an attorney do the filing as the defendant could if the complaint was not properly put together then move for a dismissal of the case if it was not properly outlined , filled and served. Once dismissed you have lost all your rights to the case
