Legal Question in Personal Injury in Massachusetts

While pulling up to a red light to make a red turn, two kids on a bike pulled out. I hit them - the kid riding on the pegs of the bike sustained a scratch and bruise on his left leg. He asked me for my address and insurance information (given his age, it made me wonder if this had happened before) - which I gave him. I did not get any information from him. The bike was OK and he walked away. I drove off, but circled back and snapped a picture of him about 1/4 mile away walking - just to cover myself in case. If he contacts my insurance company or a lawyer, what can I expect? What rights do I have? I just want to make sure I'm covered in case this becomes a big issue.

If you are contacted by either the boy's family or his insurance company, you should probably retain an attorney to prepare a response.

Under the facts as you have described them, you may have some liability (were the boys in a cross walk?) but it sounds as though the boy's damages (injuries) were negligible, if any at all. You should be able to nip this one in the bud.
