Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

I own a home with another person. My son has been living with us and has done some damage to the house. The other person threatened me , stating there were big repercussions coming if I did not have him moved out by first of month. I wanted to know if there was anything legally this person could do , besides force the sale of the house.

Thank you for your question.

The owners of the property may evict a non-owner occupant. You should legally terminate whatever tenancy or occupancy exists and commence a lawful eviction action. For that reason, it is a good idea to have an attorney.

On the other hand, if you are a legal owner, you have the right to use and enjoy the property just as much as the other co-owner. You probably need legal assistance.
