the house is in my wifes name since we bought the house never in my name

if someone sues me can they come after the house ?

Assuming the liability is attributable only to you, the answer is no. The house is safe from your creditors even though you are her spouse. There may be some strange exceptions to this, so better to speak to a lawyer about your specific case.
