Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Mexico

Promise not fullfilled

3 years ago I bought property in Mexico thru Century 21. The development was supposed to have golf course, stores etc. None of this has been done. I have lost my job and can no longer pay for it. 1 year ago, I sent a letter stating I wanted to sell the land. I am desperate now. Do I have any alternatives? I just want my money back!

I am driving there this week end because they do not respond to E mails or phone calls!

We know of another couple who want out also. Please help!!!!

Re: Promise not fullfilled

I deduce from your question that you have not yet finished paying for the title to the property (financing involved?) and this will have a bearing upon your present situation.

Also, I would like to know in which state the property is located, as this, too, may have a bearing - Mexican civil law varies from state to state.

Please advise.
