Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Mexico

Returning a Right to Use Timeshare

I have a ''right to use'' timeshare which I purchased in Mexico. I do not owe anything on the original note, only yearly maintenance fees. The right to use of this timeshare is up in 17 years. Can I give up my membership or my ''right to use'' by giving this back--maybe by quit claim?

Your contract may provide for an early termination clause. You should read it carefully. It also may be possible for you to "transfer" the contract. In any case you should have you contract reviewed by a real estate attorney in Mexico that is experienced in "timeshare" litigation.

My law firm may be able to help you.
