Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Michigan

What I would like to know is if an employee is not properly trained in Haz Mat, is not a supervisor or manager can they be held responsible for the actions of all other employees? upon the company firing this person they were informed that all actions of others were her responsibility to catch, mind you no one showed her what to look for or how to fix it, she does not have final say on anything and was not aware of any regulations during training for the position that mandated her responsible. Even when she is not working (regular hourly payed employee) she is held responsible for others not properly following hazmat protocols. I want to know what legally can be done and willing to do the foot work needed. please let me know any and all possibilities that could help me build this case

There is no job protection for this employee. He/she is an at-will employee and can be fired for any reason. Protection would potentially be afforded under the Whistleblower Protection Act if that employee was fired for going to authorities to report a condition posing a substantial danger to many others. However, that was not part of your facts.
