Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan

I am currently 19 years old and I am a female. My girlfriend is 17 years old and we have been dating for a little over 2 1/2 years. When she was 15 and I was 17 we did not have sex but as us being so young we sent recordings back and fourth to each other. It was like phone sex but they were voice texts. Well, her parents do not like me because they do not think I'm good enough for their daughter. They want to press statutory rape charges on me now just because their daughter will not do what they want. They want to use the recordings from two years ago. Will I still be in trouble? There were no pictures distributed.

The criminal sexual conduct statute covers touching and penetration for sexual gratification. There are other statutes that may cover the communications that you are concerned about. Bottom line is if law enforcement contacts you do not make a statement. You may contact me for more general information.
