Can a collection agency tell you to pay so much or they can turn the can involve a lawyer

I'm sorry. I don't understand your question.

You can settle a matter out of court with a collection company; however, you will want everything to be in writing, and you should probably review the agreement and circumstances with an attorney before you sign.
