Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

I had a judgement against me in washtenaw court and negotiated a payment plan of $150/month with the creditor which was documented in the court records. It wasn't a formal installment payment agreement just a note in the records for the payment plan. I have been making payments, never late and often much more than $150. However, I found out the creditor is still trying to order a writ of garnishment on my income taxes and my job. Can they do this? We (creditor and I) negotiated in good faith that I would not have my funds garnished if I made payments on time.

No, because you did not have a written agreement. They can take all action against you unless it's an agreement.
