Medical Expense Question

My mother who is retired from the government, who receives a small pension and social security has been diagnosed with cancer. When she passes, will I be liable for any medical expenses not covered by Medicare as she has no life insurance policy.

No, you will not be liable unless you promised to pay her medical bills, but her estate will be responsible for any unpaid medical bills.
