Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

I'm 16 turning 17 in 2 days my boyfriend is just turned 18 this month also. We have gotten into our first and only fight but not physically hurting each other badly . he took my phone I tried getting it back he kept pushing me around and calling me names and taking every other phone in the house away from me so I couldn't call anyone . I kept asking him to stop putting his hands on me and I grabbed a knife but didn't try hurting him with it I just wanted him to see that I was serious and I told him I was gonna call the police just to scare him and I dialed but hung up before anyone could answer and the police ended up coming . We are currently still together and he doesn't feel like I did anything wrong to him . But I'm being charged with domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon . what do I do ?

You need to have your parents retain an attorney that primarily practices criminal defense because this is a very serious charge. I'm assuming that since you're 16 you should be charged as a juvenile since you're not charged as an adult under most circumstances in Michigan until you're 17. That's better if that's the case. Feel free to contact our office as we focus our practice on criminal defense for adults and juveniles. If we are unable to represent you we may be able to refer you to someone in your area.
