I dont have a lawyer cause i cant afford one and i dont qualify for a court appointed one cause im not facing jail time. How should i defend myself and what should i say?

Your defense depends on the facts of the case. Do you have a valid defense? There may be ways to challenge or suppress the evidence. I would at least have an attorney review your case to see what you should do. Most attorneys would do that for a reduced cost. Did they offer you the deferral program? That is a good option if you have no defense.

1. Don't show up drunk.

2. Have someone drive you to court - like your mother.

3. If this is your only MIP your max punishment is a $100 fine and then probation which, if you don't violate, will eventually result in your case being dismissed.
