Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Retail Fraud 3rd Degree-Drug Test?

I've been recently charged with Retail Fraud 3rd Degree, and I am 19 years old. Other than this, my record is completely clean, and there is no reason for the authorities to suspect any drug use. I just wanted to know a few things.

What are the chances I will be drug tested at my pre-trial?

And during probation?

Thanks for the help.

It can happen, but very seldom. It depends on which Court you're in and what Judge.

There should not be testing of this sort, unless they suspect the RF had anything to do with drug use, abuse, stealing to support habit, etc. It can be ordered, but not too likely. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz

Since you're not using drugs, I'm sure the presiding judge will be curious about your questions....

But, the judge will know the answers, so just ask.

Me, I'm clueless.
