Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Michigan

Can a daytime job legally fire you for having a partime job as a stripper? I live in Michigan, and work in food service at a hospital, delivering meals to patients.

Unfortunately, there is no job protection unless specifically spelled out by statute. Therefore, your employer can fire you for most reasons, other than a violation of a civil rights statute or the Whistleblower Protection Act or some other statute. The court even allowed the firing of an employee for marijuana smoking off the job where the employee was not in the least affected.
