Disability and trying to get a job

I want to know if you can still have a job if you get a disablity like diebetis?

I am a diabetic and I am an attorney, so I think the answer would be yes. A disability is only a limitation if you choose for it to be. Diabetes is not visible, and people don't know you have it unless you tell them. Sometimes you have to tell them, but only for safety reasons. If they know, they can make sure you are safe.

I have never seen any real discrimination toward diabetics in the workplace. However, if you feel you are discriminated against, contact the state human rights commission or the federal equal employment opportunity commission.
