i got a ticket for use of marijuana and have to go to court..i am 17 and i was with my friend who got the exact same ticket as me..he is 16 but when he called the court they didnt know what he was talking about..is he just off the hook with no fine or consequences because he is 16?

No, he's just going to juvenile court. Hope you didn't give him the weed, because then you could be charged as a dealer to juveniles which would make you very, very, unhappy.
