Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Do I have to appear at deposition at the mothers attys office for my sons custody case in Michigan? It does not say subpoena on it at all, only that its a deposition and was mailed from the mothers atty's office. If I do have to go to deposition, should I have an attorney present?
