divorce and gambling debt

Are both partners responsible for gambling debt that was incurred by only one of them. One has a gambling problem and has spent all available money and max'd out all the credit cards. This one does not have a job. The other has a job and does not gamble.

yes, but you cannot pursue this in a court of law, as illegal contracts are not enforceable, i.e., those based on illegal activities.
