grand child custudy

my daughter left the state and i have her 4 year old here for over a month and a half he needs to be registered for preschool what do i need to do to get some type of custody of him so i can keep or take care of him

You need to obtain custody through a court order, which is easier if your daughter doesn't object to this situation. Discuss with your daughter first, and contact a family law attorney immediately, as it can take several months to get this processed depending on the county you live in.

Your situation may be approached on different levels depending on your desired status with regards to the child and your daughter.
