Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

i was married in texas, i now live in michigan and my wife lives in texas. we both want a divorce. do i have to go back to texas to divorce?

No. The court with proper jurisdiction over a divorce is the state where the person filing the divorce has resided for at least 6 months and in the county where you've lived for at least 10 days. If there are children involved, then the divorce should be handled in the state where the children reside, as the other state would only be able to grant a divorce, and not enter judgment as to anything regarding the children.
